Start of the 2008 NFFL season
Contracts are reduced by 1 year
Annual 4% raises are implemented
Performace raises are implemented
Salary penalties are migrated
Contract penalties are set back to zero
Unrestricted Free Agency (UFA) and trading resumes
Contract extensions can be offered
Assigning Franchise Players allowed
February 4, 2008
Restricted Free Agency (RFA) begins
March 15, 2008
RFA bidding ends - matching period begins
March 20, 2008
All unmatched RFA players will clear rosters and go to UFA
